Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN TRUST RECRUIT SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with GAAP/IFRS and to provide financial insights for decision-making.

You will manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, oversee day-to-day accounting (AP/AR/GL/payroll), ensure tax compliance, strengthen internal controls, and drive finance automation while mentoring the finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, or equivalent.
• CPA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting and finance experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in Construction industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in GAAP/IFRS and provide insights.

• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and finance automation initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.

Job description

Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS, and provide financial insights to support business decision-making.

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decisions.

Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), payroll, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements, including tax filings and liaison with tax advisors.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

Develop, implement, and enhance internal controls and financial processes to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial and operational risks.

Coordinate internal and external audits and manage relationships with auditors and tax advisors.

Monitor cash flow, working capital, and funding requirements to ensure healthy liquidity.

Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and finance automation initiatives.

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve operational excellence.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.

Preferred professional qualification: CPA, ACCA, or CIMA.

Minimum 5 years of accounting and finance experience with managerial or supervisory responsibilities.

Experience in Construction industry will be added advantage.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, budgeting, and internal controls.

Proven leadership and team management experience.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
