MENANG NUSANTARA SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the manufacturing finance function, partnering with the Group CFO and manufacturing leadership to strengthen financial performance and operational discipline.
You will oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closes, drive product costing, manage working capital, and develop a high-performing Manufacturing Finance team across multiple sites.
We are looking for an experienced and hands on Finance Manager to lead the finance function for our Automotive Manufacturing business segment.
This is an opportunity to work closely with the Group CFO and manufacturing leadership team, lead and develop the Manufacturing Finance team, and play a meaningful role in improving financial performance, operational discipline and business decision-making across our manufacturing operations.
Lead and manage the Manufacturing Finance team, including the Assistant Finance Manager, and ensure clear responsibilities, timely deliverables and continuous development of the team.
Work closely with the Group CFO and manufacturing leadership team to support the smooth operation and continued improvement of the Manufacturing Finance function.
Oversee the complete monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing process for the Manufacturing segment, including general ledger, reconciliations, provisions, intercompany balances, management accounts and consolidation schedules.
Ensure timely and accurate financial and management reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements and Group accounting policies.
Lead product costing and cost accounting activities, including bills of materials, standard and actual costs, labour and overhead absorption, cost roll ups and manufacturing variance analysis.
Maintain strong inventory accounting and controls over raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, scrap, stock counts, slow moving inventory and inventory provisions.
Analyse customer, project, part and product profitability and provide useful financial input on quotations, pricing, cost-down requests and new programmes decisions.
Lead the budgeting and periodic forecasting processes by working with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Engineering, R&D and other functions on volumes, pricing, production plans, headcount, operating expenditure and capital expenditure.
Prepare meaningful financial analysis and management commentary on revenue, margins, operating costs, EBITDA, cash flow, working capital, capital expenditure, risks and opportunities.
Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity, banking administration and funding requirements for the Manufacturing segment in coordination with Group Finance.
Drive improvements in receivables, payables, inventory and overall working capital management.
Review capital expenditure proposals, assess financial feasibility and payback, monitor approved spending and evaluate post investment performance.
Develop and strengthen internal controls, approval workflows, finance policies and standard operating procedures to safeguard the Company's assets and improve the reliability of financial information.
Coordinate and support external and internal audits, tax and statutory matters, transfer pricing, insurance claims and other requirements involving auditors, tax agents, bankers, insurers and professional advisers.
Improve the use of Oracle NetSuite and related systems, data integrity, reporting quality and finance process efficiency.
Undertake other finance, governance and business improvement responsibilities assigned by the Group CFO or management.
A key finance leadership role with direct exposure to the Group CFO and senior management.

To be successful in this role, you should have strong technical finance knowledge, practical manufacturing experience and the confidence to work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Just as importantly, you should be willing to stay close to the operations, ask the right questions and take ownership of improvements.
A recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW or MICPA, and/or a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
At least (7) seven years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with prior experience managing a team. Solid exposure to manufacturing finance would be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounting, standard costing, inventory, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, internal controls and statutory compliance.
Experience in automotive or component manufacturing, external audit or a listed company environment would be an added advantage.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and practical experience using an ERP system. Experience with Oracle NetSuite would be an advantage.
Able to understand manufacturing and commercial drivers and translate them into clear financial implications, recommendations and actions.
Analytical, hands on, organised and dependable, with the ability to prioritise and deliver quality work within tight reporting timelines.
Confident in challenging assumptions constructively and communicating with senior management, plant leaders and other stakeholders.
Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
A positive team leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems and contributing beyond the traditional finance role.
