Job summary

Asia Recruit is sourcing a Finance Manager to lead the plant's finance and accounting operations at its Melaka manufacturing facility. The role focuses on cost control, reporting, budgeting and cash management to support operational decisions.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Finance/Accounting, 8+ years in manufacturing with team leadership, strong costing and ERP skills, and fluent English, Bahasa and Chinese. Willingness to work on-site in Melaka is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of related experience in manufacturing environment with team management.
• Strong hands-on experience in costing, inventory accounting and production finance.
• Good understanding of manufacturing operations (WIP, FG, BOM, production flow).
• Proficient in ERP systems and able to communicate in English, Bahasa and Chinese.
• Willing to work in Melaka.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall plant finance and accounting operations.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cost planning under tight schedules.
• Maintain robust costing systems and provide management with financial insights to maximise shareholder value.
• Ensure timely reporting of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet to corporate.
• Plan and manage cash resources efficiently.
• Collaborate with production and planning teams on manufacturing performance tracking.
• Strengthen internal controls and plant finance processes.
• Support ERP system and process improvement initiatives.
• Oversee IT department activities and personnel.
• Provide financial insights for plant operational decisions.
• Safeguard company assets and ensure statutory/regulatory compliance.

Our client is a subsidiary under a global manufacturing organization, where it operates multiple manufacturing facilities worldwide. They are currently looking for a Finance Manager to be based in their manufacturing plant in Melaka.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead overall plant finance and accounting operations.
• Ensure accurate and timey monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Preparation of financial budget / forecasts / cost planning under tight schedule.
• Responsible to ensure adequate costing systems are in place and provide management with the financial information necessary to run the business and maximize shareholder value.
• Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial statements (monthly P&L and Balance Sheet) and other reports as needed by corporate.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of related experience in manufacturing environment, with team managing experience
• Strong hands-on experience in costing, inventory accounting and production finance
• Good understanding of manufacturing operations (WIP, FG, BOM, production flow)
• Proficient in ERP system
• Ability to communicate in English, Bahasa and Chinese languages.
• Must be willing to work in Melaka.
