Job summary

Ambition, a growing property development group in Johor, seeks a commercially minded finance leader to oversee the full spectrum of financial operations for multiple developments. You will manage project costing, reporting, budgeting and cash flow, ensure MFRS compliance, and partner with senior leadership to keep projects financially on track across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

This permanent, on-site role requires 5+ years of financial accounting experience, with 3+ years

Qualifications

• 5+ years of financial accounting experience, with at least 3 years in property development.
• Familiar with residential, commercial, and industrial development accounting.
• Well-versed in MFRS and Malaysian statutory and tax requirements.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft Office; IFCA familiarity is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-set accounts and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare management accounts and periodic financial statements for senior leadership.
• Monitor project costing, progress billing, and development expenditure.
• Manage payables and receivables, including contractor, supplier, and purchaser payments.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, the Companies Act, and all statutory requirements.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax agents, and financial institutions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Supervise the accounts team and strengthen internal controls.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of financial accounting experience, with at least 3 years in property development
• Familiar with residential, commercial, and industrial development accounting
• Well-versed in MFRS and Malaysian statutory and tax requirements
• Proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft Office; IFCA familiarity is a bonus
• Driven and analytical, with a high level of integrity and the ability to work independently
