Job summary

Persol is seeking an Accounting Manager in Muar to oversee full-set accounts for the company and its property development projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cash flow monitoring, and cost control.

The role covers SST, RPGT, and corporate income tax submissions, progressive billing, and providing management with profitability analysis and strategic financial guidance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA/CPA) preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in property development accounting.
• Strong knowledge of progressive billing, SST, RPGT, and Malaysian tax regulations.
• Proficient in SAP, SQL, or MYOB and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts for the company and its property development projects.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and variance analysis reports.
• Monitor cash flow, project budgets, and overall financial health.
• Record and track development costs, revenue, and project expenditures accurately.
• Ensure proper handling of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Implement and monitor progressive billing according to project milestones.
• Track development costs vs budget, including land acquisition, construction, and project overheads.
• Conduct project profitability analysis and advise management on financial decisions.
• Prepare and review corporate income tax, SST, RPGT, and other statutory tax submissions.
• Prepare financial reports for management, board of directors, and regulatory authorities.
