Job summary

allnex invites you to join the GBS Finance team as a Cost Intern in Malaysia. You will support month-end closing, costing analysis, and reporting activities while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across Manufacturing, Finance, and Planning.

You will play a key role in ensuring accurate cost data and contributing to continuous improvement in financial reporting processes. This internship provides international exposure within a global coatings company and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Finance or Accounting degree.
• 6-month internship program.
• Strong analytical and accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end closing by preparing basic reports and schedules
• Assist with cost analysis and simple reporting tasks
• Help prepare weekly variance reports and flag unusual trends
• Support reconciliations (e.g. inventory, accruals)
• Assist in tracking production and manufacturing cost data
• Help prepare and check accruals to ensure costs are recorded correctly
• Support analysis of slow-moving or off-spec inventory
• Maintain organised documentation and files
• Follow up with internal teams for required information
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks and reporting as assigned

You will play a key role in ensuring accurate cost data, supporting operational analysis, and contributing to continuous improvement in financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Support month‑end closing by preparing basic reports and schedules
• Assist with cost analysis and simple reporting tasks
• Help prepare weekly variance reports and flag unusual trends
• Support reconciliations (e.g. inventory, accruals)
• Assist in tracking production and manufacturing cost data

• Support analysis of slow‑moving or off‑spec inventory

Required Skills And Experience

• Able to carry out a 6‑month (or more) internship program
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
• Able to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles
• Professional working proficiency in English

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
