Job summary

PolicyStreet is a dynamic insurtech company seeking a finance professional in Malaysia to manage accounts payable, analyse the general ledger, and strengthen internal controls. You will ensure accurate postings and timely reporting, supporting financial operations across the organization.

The role requires Mandarin/Cantonese for cross-border coordination, strong reconciliation abilities, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or pursuing professional accounting papers.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting.
• Good reconciliation and closing skills.
• Proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese for cross-market communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage full AP cycle: invoice verification, coding, posting and payment processing.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor AP aging and ensure timely settlement.
• Analyse transactions from Data Warehouse and prepare billing and journal entries.
• Perform weekly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing.
• Assist in maintaining internal controls and proper documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and audit schedules.
