Columbia Asia Hospital - Iskandar Puteri is seeking a finance professional to manage credit control and collections in a hospital setting. You will handle unbilled charges, coordinate with external legal/collection partners, and evaluate new debtor applications with careful investigations.
The role requires prior experience in finance/credit control, and supervisory exposure within a healthcare environment. Training and growth opportunities are provided within a regional hospital network.
Assist the management in financial affairs of the hospital in accordance with business unit goals, sound business practices, hospital policies and in compliance with various regulatory requirements.
Ensure the debtors level are well kept at the level set by the management.
Ensure all accounting policies and procedures are adhered to.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform effective credit administration and control procedures and ensure timely collection.
2. Resolve all unbilled charges and unpaid cash visit.
3. Follow up with panel legal firms/ debt collector on the legal proceeding against bad or doubtful debtors.
5. Carry out the evaluation of new debtor application with necessary investigations to justify the credit applications.
6. Evaluate credit limit and terms for corporate debtors.
7. Ensure all corporate bills are submitted on timely basis and CTC bills are submitted upon request.
8. Update daily collection.
9. Recommend provision for doubtful debts for long outstanding debts.
10. Assist in stock take and other tasks whenever required
11. Answer queries on hospital charges.
12. Make adjustment on queries from insurance companies regarding doctor's charges, wherever applicable.
13. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
Education and Requirements:
Degree / Diploma in Accountancy
Special Demands:
Sufficient previous experience in finance/ credit control, preferably in a hospital setting.
Experience in supervisory role.
