Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad's The Waterfront Shoppes at The Light City in Penang seeks a detail‑oriented finance professional to join the team. You will handle sales invoicing, AR monitoring, and daily accounting operations, contributing to budgeting and forecasting.

With 1–3 years of experience and proficiency in Excel and accounting software (SQL, SAP, Oracle or similar), you will work independently to meet deadlines and maintain accurate records while communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience; fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. SQL, SAP, Oracle or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue sales invoices, debit notes, and credit notes to customers.
• Monitor and maintain the accounts receivable ledger and aging reports.
• Follow up with customers on outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Handle daily accounting operations including data entry, invoicing, payments, and bank reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and statutory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in financial systems and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue sales invoices, debit notes, and credit notes to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor and maintain the accounts receivable ledger; prepare aged debtor reports and highlight overdue balances to the Finance Manager.
• Actively follow up with customers on outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence to ensure timely collection.
• Handle daily accounting operations including data entry, invoicing, payments, and bank reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in financial systems and processes.
