Job summary

Schaefer Kalk (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Accounts and Finance Executive to support treasury operations, month-end close, and related reporting. You will review cash positions, coordinate with bankers, and assist with cash-flow forecasts and FX management.

The role also involves maintaining treasury records, ensuring compliance with controls, and supporting audit requests as part of a broader finance team in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

• Review weekly and monthly cash position reports and maintain treasury records.
• Liaise with bankers on funds receipt and transfers.
• Prepare rolling cash-flow forecasts and analyze variances.
• Monitor FX rates and manage FX schedules and hedging support.
• Maintain treasury documentation and ensure policy compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end closing and audits.
• Conduct cash/bank reconciliations and investigate anomalies.
• Assist regional controllers and finance manager as needed.

Job description

To provide efficient assistance in managing the company’s day-to-day treasury operations, while also providing accounting support for reconciliations, month-end closing and related reporting.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities includes:

• Reviewing weekly and monthly cash position report.
• Liaising with the bankers on funds receipt and transfer
• Prepare rolling short-term and medium-term cash-flow forecasts, analyze variances and highlight potential funding gaps or surplus funds.
• Monitor foreign exchange rates and exposures, maintain FX schedules, and support with hedging and forward-contract administration.
• Maintain complete treasury documentation and ensure transactions comply with approved authority limits, company policies and internal controls.
• Support treasury-related month-end and year-end closing, audit requests and continuous improvement of treasury systems and processes.
• Cash and bank review, verification and reconciliation functions.
• Investigation of ad-hoc and abnormal transactions.
• Perform any such comparable duties as may be required by the Regional Financial Controller and the Finance Manager.
