Job summary

UQPAY Group, a Singapore-headquartered fintech, is hiring a Finance Executive in Malaysia to support daily bookkeeping, reconciliations, payment tracking, documentation and reporting. The role offers exposure to multi-market finance operations within a global fintech environment and room to develop accounting systems and processes.

The position includes working with senior finance and cross-department teams, exposure to year-end closing, audits, and tax filings, with a base salary plus fixed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
• 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or finance roles preferred.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Fresh graduate is welcome to apply.
• Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, MIA) are an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting software is highly preferred.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping: record daily transactions and maintain the GL, including AP and AR.
• Schedule Management: track payments, manage schedules, and ensure timely reporting.
• Reconciliation: reconcile bank statements and invoices for accuracy.
• Reporting & Documentation: prepare monthly accounts and balance sheet schedules.
• Ad Hoc Duties: assist month-end/year-end close, audits, and tax filings.
• Team Support: guide junior staff and coordinate with Settlement and Operations.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Executive to support daily bookkeeping, reconciliations, payment tracking, documentation and reporting. Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping: Accurately record daily financial transactions and maintain the General Ledger (GL), including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

Schedule Management: Manage financial schedules, track payments, perform reconciliations, and ensure timely reporting.

Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, invoices, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Reporting & Documentation: Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and balance sheet schedules; maintain and organize financial documents in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Ad Hoc Duties: Support month-end and year-end closing, audits, tax filings and other finance-related tasks as needed.

Team Support : Assist and guide junior staff, support the Finance Manager, and collaborate with Settlement and Operations teams to resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

Must-have

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.

1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or finance roles preferred.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Fresh graduate is welcome to apply.

Good-to-have

Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, MIA) are an added advantage.

Previous experience in the FinTech industry is a plus.

Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting software is highly preferred.
