Job summary

Shuoyao Technology in Malaysia is seeking an accounting/finance professional to manage invoices, payments, receivables and payables, and to perform monthly closing and reporting.

You will maintain accurate records, assist in cash flow planning, budgets, forecasts and analyses, and support statutory compliance. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage for dealings with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Familiar with Malaysian accounting and statutory requirements.
• Knowledge of e-Invoice, SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and tax matters preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Meticulous, responsible, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable; manage balances.
• Perform monthly closing activities and prepare financial reports.
• Assist in cash flow reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and authorities on finance matters.
• Support finance manager in planning and reporting.

Job description

• Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, credit notes, debit notes, and other accounting documents.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable, including outstanding payments and customer/supplier balances.
• Perform monthly closing activities and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents.
• Assist in preparing cash flow reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Handle staff claims, expenses, and payment processing.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and supported by relevant documentation and approvals.
• Assist with e-Invoice, SST, tax, and other statutory compliance matters where applicable.
• Assist with EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and other payroll-related financial matters when required.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, banks, customers, suppliers, and relevant government authorities on finance-related matters.
• Support the Finance Manager / Head of Finance in financial planning, reporting, and other finance-related activities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 1–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Familiar with Malaysian accounting and statutory requirements.
• Knowledge of e-Invoice, SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and tax matters will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Meticulous, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Able to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
