Job summary

ASK Headhunter is seeking a Controller Account Executive in Malaysia to manage month-end closing, reconciliations and the preparation of management financial reports. You will monitor branch performance, control costs and handle ad-hoc finance tasks as needed.

The role requires an accounting or finance degree, strong computer skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Relevant experience in closes and reporting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, with strong typing skills.
• Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
• Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
• Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
• Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month end closing and full set of accounts.
• Monitor monthly bill utilities and reconcile with ledger.
• Prepare and finalize month end closing financial reports – TB, P&L, BS & OPEX analysis.
• Liaise with auditors, company secretary and bankers on finance matters.
• Assist on recruitment of staff and maintain proper filing of finance documents.
• Monitor cost cutting vs budget and report to stakeholders monthly.
• Meet with stakeholders monthly to review report card status.
