Job summary

AVA Energy in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Finance Leader to join the business as a key member of the finance team. You will own end-to-end financial management, reporting, governance, controls and commercial insight across the company.

The role requires robust accounting expertise, leadership to the finance team, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in processes, compliance and reporting for strategic decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
• Strong general and cost accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong communication, integrity, judgement and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly financial reporting and year-end close.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
• Oversee balance-sheet reconciliations, AR/AP and payroll governance.
• Manage statutory, tax, audit and Group reporting requirements.
• Provide proactive financial insight to the General Manager.
• Lead monthly project and contract financial reviews.
• Identify financial risks and strengthen internal controls.
• Manage and develop finance team members where applicable.
