Job summary

MVC Resources, based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day finance operations and ensure accurate financial records. This role focuses on AR, AP, GL, tax compliance, and timely reporting for the group.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in finance/accountancy, 2–5 years’ experience, and strong communication skills in English and Malay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Finance/Accountancy.
• 2–5 years related working experience.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office.
• Good written and spoken English and Malay.
• Meticulous, disciplined, independent with high integrity.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage full spectrum of AR, AP & GL to maintain accounts.
• Perform inventory reconciliation.
• Monitor tax compliance (tax computations, SST return, withholding taxes).
• Prepare timely monthly/quarterly Group financial statements.
• Support day-to-day operations in the accounts dept.
• Liaise with local authorities for licenses and renewals.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents and company secretary for filings.
• Other duties in the department as required.
