Job summary

MVC Resources, based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day finance operations and ensure accurate financial records. This role focuses on AR, AP, GL, tax compliance, and timely reporting for the group.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in finance/accountancy, 2–5 years’ experience, and strong communication skills in English and Malay.

• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage full spectrum of AR, AP & GL to maintain accounts.
• Perform inventory reconciliation.
• Monitor tax compliance (tax computations, SST return, withholding taxes).
• Prepare timely monthly/quarterly Group financial statements.
• Support day-to-day operations in the accounts dept.
• Liaise with local authorities for licenses and renewals.

• Manage full spectrum of AR,AP & GL function to maintain full set of accounts to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  
• Perform inventory reconciliation to ensure proper inventory management.
  
• Monitor tax compliance such as preparing tax computations and estimates, managing SST return, handling withholding taxes and addressing various other tax-related issues.
  
• Prepare timely monthly/quarterly Group financial statements
  
• Support the day-to-day operations and activities within the accounts department.
  
• Liaising with local councils/government authorities for necessary license application, renewal and correspondences.
  
• Liaising with external auditor, tax agent and company secretary for the necessary statutory filings and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Professional Qualification in Finance/Accountancy
  
• Minimum 2 to 5 years related working experience
