Job summary

Tohtonku is a local Malaysian company seeking a detail-oriented Finance & Master Data Specialist to create, maintain and govern master data across Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The role also touches AR/AP and costing functions within a fast-moving consumer goods environment.

You will work with ERP and CRM tools to cleanse and standardize data, supporting accurate financials and data-driven insights while ensuring timely month-end and year-end closings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, or related field.
• Open to fresh grads; master data experience is a plus.
• Proficient in SAP or similar ERP, Excel (intermediate/advanced), and Power BI.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and update master data in accordance with business requirements.
• Assist in maintaining standard cost & pricing structures.
• Support data cleansing and standardization activities by gathering data from ERP system and CRM tools and reprocess the data in a common/standard form to bring out the best of data-driven insights.
• Perform inventory adjustment and reconciliation processes.
• Assist in reconciliation for rework and stock written off (claim cost vs master cost).
• Monitor and follow up outstanding customers payments and delinquent accounts.
• Record and apply customer payments accurately and on timely manner in the accounting system.
• Validate and issue credit note and/or validated e-credit note on trade claims accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• To take on any additional task as and when required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, or related field. Professional certifications are a plus.
• Open to fresh grad, but having experience in master data or related roles, preferably in the FMCG industry is an advantage.
• Proficient in accounting software (SAP or similar), Microsoft Excel (intermediate or advanced level) and Power BI.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines.
