Job summary

Astar Laboratory Sdn Bhd is seeking an Account Assistant to support finance operations in Malaysia. The role involves issuing invoices, processing orders, preparing vouchers, and data entry in the accounting system.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/Certificate in Accounting and has basic knowledge of accounting principles. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and multilingual communication is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and Autocount accounting software is an advantage.
• Responsible, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Meticulous, pro-active with positive attitude and willing to learn.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist in issuing Invoices, Delivery Orders, and Purchase Orders using the accounting system.
• Prepare Payment Vouchers and ensure supporting documents are properly attached.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
• Perform general duties including printing, copying, scanning, filing, and labeling documents.
• Assist with data entry and updates in the accounting system.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing reports and updating financial data.
• Perform ad hoc duties assigned by management or supervisors.
