Job summary

BENSHEAR TECHNOLOGY SDN. BHD.

seeks an experienced Finance & Account Manager to run the company’s finance and accounting functions hands-on, from AP/AR to consolidated accounts while leading the team and advising management. The role covers GL maintenance, monthly reconciliations, full set of accounts, intercompany consolidations, SST/e-invoice, payroll-related submissions, budgeting and cash flow planning, with emphasis on cost analysis and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, with hands-on full set of accounts and consolidation.
• At least 2 years in supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (AutoCount, SQL) and Excel.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MIA) is an added advantage.
• Experience with bank financing or corporate funding is preferred; manufacturing background is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• High integrity and confidentiality; able to work independently under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle AP and AR directly: supplier invoices, payment runs, customer invoicing, collections, statements and ageing follow-up.
• Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and fixed asset register.
• Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations monthly.
• Prepare the full set of accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, notes and schedules) up to audit-ready stage.
• Prepare consolidated accounts, including inter-company eliminations, for group entities.
• Prepare SST, e-invoice, payroll-related and other statutory submissions or work with the relevant parties to complete them.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, with variance analysis and recommendations.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning and working capital.
• Analyse costing, margins and profitability to support pricing and resource allocation decisions.
• Manage banking facilities, loans, hire purchase and funding requirements.

You will do the accounting work yourself, from daily AP/AR to the full set of accounts and consolidation, while also leading the team and advising Management.

Key responsibilities

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, including proven hands-on experience in full set of accounts and consolidation

At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience

Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. AutoCount, SQL) and Excel

Practical experience in audit, taxation, banking, financing and statutory compliance

Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MIA) is an added advantage

Experience with bank financing or corporate funding is preferred; manufacturing background is a plus

Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
