Job summary

CBRE Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Analyst to apply basic cash and accrual accounting fundamentals, preparing and delivering financial reports for a portfolio of clients and properties.

This role sits in the Financial Strategy and Operations function, maintaining accounting policies and controls, posting journal entries, and generating reports while collaborating with management and vendors. Mandarin proficiency is preferred to serve Mandarin-speaking customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting; professional qualifications (CA/CPA/ACCA) an added advantage.
• 1-2 years’ experience in the relevant field, preferably from a shared service environment.
• Proficiency in Mandarin to better serve Mandarin-speaking customers
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• Computer literate, preferably with Excel analysis data.
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills; ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial figures.

Responsibilities

• Complete accounting transactions in preparation of client financial statement packages.
• Create and post journal entries and ensure that all expenses, owner’s distributions, funding requests, and other transactions are accurately posted.
• Use aggregate data from multiple sources to generate reports.
• Generate financial packages for accuracy and comprehensive reporting.
• Review information for management and vendors and respond to requests.
• Understand and work with scenario planning tools/models while analyzing trends.
• Address accounting issues and provide corrective actions when needed.
• Use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Lead by example and reflect CBRE RISE values.
• Ensure timely delivery within standardized procedures.
