Carrera Management Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Finance & Accounting Intern to join the dynamic finance team based in Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur.

This casual internship offers practical experience in financial accounting and reporting while learning from experienced professionals. You will support the preparation and processing of financial documents, reconciliation, data entry, and monthly/quarterly reporting, gaining exposure to real-world accounting practices within a professional business

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or recently completed degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and processing of financial documents, invoices, and expense reports.
• Support reconciliation of accounts and bank statements.
• Maintain and update financial records using accounting software and spreadsheets.

• Assist in preparing trial balances and general ledger accounts.

This is a casual position that offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring finance professionals to gain practical experience in financial accounting and reporting within a professional business environment. In this role, you will work alongside experienced accountants and finance professionals, gaining hands-on exposure to real-world accounting practices, financial reporting processes, and business operations. This internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application, providing you with invaluable insights into the accounting profession.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the preparation and processing of financial documents, invoices, and expense reports
• Supporting the reconciliation of accounts and bank statements
• Helping to maintain and update financial records using accounting software and spreadsheets
• Assisting with the compilation of financial data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
• Supporting the preparation of trial balances and general ledger accounts
• Helping to coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders on finance-related queries
• Performing general administrative tasks to support the finance department
• Learning and applying fundamental accounting principles and best practices

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and financial reporting concepts
