Job summary

Max Outdoor Sdn Bhd is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our Finance team on a full-time basis in Kelana Jaya, Selangor. This role offers hands-on experience in financial accounting and reporting within a dynamic outdoor retail environment.

You will support day-to-day operations, learn accounting practices, and gain exposure to ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes while working with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of general ledger accounts and journal entries.
• Supporting the reconciliation of bank statements, supplier invoices, and other financial documents.
• Helping to process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports under supervision.
• Recording and categorising financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Filing and organising financial documents and records in a systematic manner.
• Liaising with internal departments to gather necessary financial information.
• Assisting with basic data entry and spreadsheet management tasks.
• Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc administrative and analytical tasks as required.

About the role

Max Outdoor Sdn Bhd is seeking an enthusiastic Accounting Intern to join our Finance team on a full-time basis in Kelana Jaya, Selangor. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in financial accounting and reporting within a dynamic outdoor retail environment.
