Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Director of Finance & Business Support for the Sabah Kota Kinabalu Resort in Malaysia. You will lead the finance team, uphold high accounting standards, and ensure strict financial controls and regulatory compliance.

You will drive profitability through financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, improve payment options and inventory controls, and oversee Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Payroll while partnering with hotel leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting and Finance.
• 4-8 years’ experience in hotel accounting or auditing with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of accounting management duties and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coaching your team to ensure the right person is always on the right task.
• Setting exceptional accounting practice standards and ensuring financial control procedures remain ethical and legal.
• Maximising financial returns through financial analysis, data trends and market information – while budgeting accordingly.
• Enhancing guest experience through improved payment options, inventory controls and financial dispute resolution.
• Supervising clerical accounting employees across Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Payroll.
