Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Malaysia seeks a Director of Finance & Business Support to direct hotel financial operations, protect assets, and deliver timely financial reporting to the general manager, owners, auditors, and regulators.

You will lead a team, manage budgets, oversee accounts payable/receivable, and drive profitability through strategic analysis and cost controls while upholding compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent.
• 4–8 years in hotel accounting or audit, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of accounting management duties and industry practices.
• USALI knowledge or a related finance designation is preferred.
• Proficiency in local languages; English and other languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct hotel financial operations and safeguard assets.
• Provide regular financial reporting to GM, owners, auditors, and regulators.
• Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring compliant, efficient delivery of services.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, and credit extensions.
• Review rates, budgeting, and cost control strategies to maximise profitability.
• Oversee contracts, licenses, and risk management aligned with company policy.
