Job summary

Upscale in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance/Accounts professional to support daily operations, financial reporting, cash flow management and compliance. The role focuses on accurate record-keeping and timely reporting.

You will handle AP/AR/GL, assist month-end close, budgeting and variance analysis, and liaise with auditors, tax agents and bankers. Strong Excel and accounting software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Good understanding of AP, AR, GL and financial reporting.
• Basic knowledge of cash flow management, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Exposure to full-set accounts, taxation and audit is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily finance and accounting transactions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL).
• Assist in maintaining full-set accounts and ensuring accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and financial analysis.
• Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and prepayments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, outstanding receivables, payments and account balances.
• Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting and variance analysis.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits, tax submissions and statutory compliance.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and relevant external parties when required.
• Assist with SST, tax matters and other regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Maintain proper financial records, supporting documents and filing systems.
• Perform other finance, accounting and administrative duties as assigned by Management.
