Job summary

PET WORLD NUTRITIONS SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Executive to support day-to-day finance operations, maintain accurate records, assist with monthly closings, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

The role covers ledger entries, reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, audit coordination, and liaising with auditors and regulators. Immediate joining is an advantage; fluency in English and Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting/ Finance/Business or Partial Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-4 years of working experience in the related field.
• Immediate joining is an advantage.
• Required languages: English and Mandarin; Bahasa Malaysia also preferred.
• Ability to handle a full set of accounts and interact across cultures.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day finance, accounts, and daily accounting functions including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Maintain full set of accounts on time according to SOP; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare accounts with audit schedule and liaise with auditors as required.
• Monitor and manage daily cash flow and monthly operating cash flow of the group.
• Prepare monthly management reports with financial ratios and on time.
• Conduct stock counts quarterly and at financial year end; audit subsidiaries as needed by HOD.
• Prepare correspondence with bank, auditor, tax authorities, and other entities; suggest improvements to processes.
• Handle ad hoc assignments and issues as requested by management.

Job description

The Finance Executive plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance operations of the company. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with monthly closings, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standard

• Responsible on day to day finance, accounts, daily accounting functions including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Ensured all account function completed according to SOP and regulatory requirement (ie. Inventory, fixed assets management, account receivable, account payable, claims, bank reconciliation, BA / FCTL documents for financing, tax submission and monthly instalment for the group, etc).
• Able to maintain full set of accounts on time according to department SOP.
• Prepare accounts with audit schedule for audit and liaising with the auditor as required,
• Monitoring and managing daily cash flow and monthly operating cash flow of the group.
• Prepared monthly account management report with financial ratio and within the dateline.
• Conduct stock count on quarterly and financial year end and audit to subsidiary as and when require by the HOD.
• Prepare correspondence letter with bank, auditor, income tax, Custom, bank application from, TT Form and any others form for daily operations purposes as and when required by HOD. Suggest and propose for improvement on the department related process flow.
• Handle ad hoc assignment and any issues that may arise from time to time as requested by management.

Academic or trade qualifications

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Accounting/ Finance/Business or Partial Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent

Work experience and skills

• Minimum 2-4 year(s) of working experience in the related field
• Immediate joining is an advantage
