Job summary

X Consultancy Group (XCG) is seeking a Finance / Account Assistant to join our team at our Bukit Jalil HQ in Kuala Lumpur. You will handle day-to-day accounts, issue invoices, monitor payments and assist with monthly financial reports.

Fresh graduates are welcome and knowledge of SQL, AutoCount, MYOB, Excel is a plus; Mandarin ability is beneficial for Mandarin-speaking clients. Diploma/degree in Accounting or related field is required; LCCI/ACCA part-qualification is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; LCCI/ACCA (part-qualified) welcomed.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience preferred; fresh graduates welcome.
• Knowledge of accounting software (SQL, AutoCount, MYOB) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounts and maintain proper records.
• Prepare and issue client invoices and verify accuracy.
• Monitor client payments and reconcile receipts against invoices.
• Follow up on overdue payments and prepare debtors ageing reports.
• Check supplier invoices and process payments; maintain accounts payable.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash and staff claims.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Prepare schedules for audits and tax documentation.
• Organize and file finance documents.
• Assist accounting team with client accounts when required.

X Consultancy Group (XCG) is an accounting firm providing accounting, audit, tax and company secretarial services to clients from various industries. We are looking for a Finance / Account Assistant to join our team at our Bukit Jalil HQ (Kuala Lumpur).

Key responsibilities

• Handle the day-to-day accounts of the company and maintain proper accounting records
• Prepare and issue invoices to clients, and check invoices for accuracy before sending
• Monitor and record client payments, and knock off receipts against outstanding invoices
• Follow up with clients on overdue payments and prepare debtors ageing reports
• Check supplier invoices, process payments and maintain accounts payable records
• Perform bank reconciliations and handle petty cash and staff claims
• Assist in preparing the company's monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for the company's audit and tax
• Organize and file finance documents properly
• Assist the accounting team with clients' accounts when required

About you

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; LCCI / ACCA (part-qualified) welcome
• At least 1 year of accounting experience preferred; experience in an accounting firm is an advantage
• Fresh graduates with accounting background are welcome to apply
• Knowledge of accounting software (e.g. SQL, AutoCount, MYOB) and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an advantage as some clients are Mandarin-speaking; good English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Detail-oriented, responsible, willing to learn and able to meet deadlines
