Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Operations leader to oversee Production & Test Operations, ensure smooth floor testing, track lots, and coordinate test program releases with internal factories and OSATs.

You will drive OEE, test time reductions, and yield optimization, coordinate new product introductions to High-Volume Manufacturing, and work with supply chain to forecast capacity and procure hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, operations management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive operations management or leadership experience.
• Familiarity with test processes and equipment operations.
• Strong problem-solving ability (8D/Why-Why Analysis).

Responsibilities

• Manage daily floor testing activities and ensure seamless lot tracking.
• Drive OEE improvements, test time reductions, and yield optimization.
• Coordinate Final Test readiness and NPI handoffs to High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM).
• Forecast capacity with supply chain and plan hardware procurements.

Production & Test Operations:

Manage daily floor testing activities, ensuring seamless lot tracking, test program releases, and hardware troubleshooting with internal factories and OSATs (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test)

Yield & OEE Optimization:

Monitor and drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), test time, yield rates, and reduce retests to maximize gross margins.

New Product Introduction (NPI):

Coordinate Final Test readiness and smooth transfers from engineering/development stages to High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM).

Capacity & Hardware Management:

Align with supply chain teams to forecast capacity, procure hardware (testers, handlers, change-kits), and execute capacity expansions to meet production demands.

Education Level and Field of Study:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

Working Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in Operations management or a leadership role.

Technical and Professional Knowledge:

Familiar with test processes / equipment operations/ planning concepts.

Excellent problem-solving ability (8D, Why-Why Analysis, Process & Manufacturing challenges)

Strong communication capabilities to align cross-functional teams, resolve workplace or supplier friction smoothly, and foster a positive collaborative culture.

Certification/ Licensing Requirements:

Certifications like Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) are highly desired in manufacturing test environments for driving process improvements and yield optimization.
