Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a responsible, disciplined and results-oriented Field Visit Officer to join our Debt Collection Agency (DCA). The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field visits to customers with overdue banking facilities on behalf of our bank clients, facilitating debt resolution and achieving assigned collection targets professionally and ethically.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct field visits to customers with overdue bank loans, credit cards, personal financing and other assigned banking portfolios.

Contact customers to discuss outstanding balances, overdue payments and suitable repayment arrangements.

Verify customers’ contact details, residential addresses and other relevant information through lawful and approved procedures.

Deliver payment reminders, collection letters and other approved correspondence where authorised.

Negotiate reasonable repayment arrangements and encourage customers to regularise their accounts.

Follow up on broken promises to pay (PTPs) and monitor agreed repayment commitments.

Identify customers’ financial circumstances and recommend suitable resolution options in accordance with company and bank guidelines.

Update visit outcomes, customer feedback, payment commitments and account status accurately in the Debt Management System (DMS).

Submit daily field visit reports, maintain proper documentation and achieve assigned visit and collection KPIs.

Coordinate with the Collection Team, Team Leader and Operations Department on difficult cases, disputes and escalations.

Ensure all collection activities comply with applicable laws, PDPA requirements, bank policies, client SLAs and the company's Code of Conduct.

Maintain professional conduct, protect customer confidentiality and uphold the reputation of the company and its banking clients.

Requirements

Experience in debt collection, banking, credit recovery, field sales or customer service will be an advantage.

Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia; English and other local languages will be an added advantage.

Possess a valid motorcycle or car driving licence.

Own transportation and a smartphone are preferred.

Familiarity with Klang Valley and surrounding areas is an advantage.

Willing to travel and conduct field visits according to assigned routes and schedules.

Basic computer and mobile application skills for reporting and updating account information.
