Job summary

Vertiv UPS Engineer role in Malaysia offers hands-on training on Vertiv UPS systems, startups, maintenance and emergency repairs for UPS, batteries, power distribution and site monitoring equipment. You will build rapport with customers, salesmen, distributors and coordinate with the service direction team.

This position requires field visits to customer sites across the region, occasional after-hours and weekend work, and daily travel.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Experience in a technical service or test environment of Electrical/Electronic equipment is essential; UPS experience preferred.
• Proficiency with office software and ability to communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and run assigned projects/PM, ensuring high quality service on time and within budget.
• Maintain accuracy of the customer listing and report issues.
• Assist in achieving a maintenance completion rate of at least 90%.

UPS Engineer

Your secondary responsibility will be to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, salesmen, distributors, and others within the area, while maintaining active and open dialogue with the service direction team.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

• Coordinate and run assigned projects/PM, ensuring they run smoothly and ensure the highest quality service is delivered on time and within budget.
• Maintain the accuracy of the customer listing by reporting any issues.
• Assist in ensuring that the planned maintenance completion rate is maintained at a min 90%.

Qualifications

Required/ Minimum Qualifications

• Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience of working in a technical service or test environment of Electrical/Electronic equipment essential UPS preferred or associated industries i.e. Power Electronics.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications

• Computer Literate (All office associated programs such as, word, excel, outlook).
• Previous field service experience essential.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-starter, ability to plan, organize and manage time effectively with an ability to work under pressure.
• Clean, Valid driving license.
• There will be after hours (post 17:00) and weekend shift requirements, sometimes at short notice.
• Daily travel to and from customer sites.
