A leading energy firm in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a skilled Field Service Expert (MRO – Mechanical) to support maintenance and repair activities in their plant operations. The ideal candidate will have strong field experience with mechanical equipment and a diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, along with significant hands-on maintenance experience in the power plant or oil & gas industry. Qualifications

• 5 years experience for Diploma holders, or 10 years for Certificate holders.
• Strong hands-on experience in maintenance, inspection, and servicing.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled and hands‑on Field Service Expert (MRO – Mechanical) to support maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities across our plant operations. This role is suited for individuals with strong field experience working on mechanical equipment in industrial environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Execute mechanical maintenance, inspection, and overhaul works in compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements
• Support development of technical work scopes including hazard & risk assessments, inspection test plans (ITP), and checklists
• Perform hands‑on servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment
• Ensure proper care, maintenance, and readiness of tools and equipment for safe execution
• Coordinate and monitor vendors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement of work methods and job execution through post‑project reviews
• Prepare and submit progress, completion, and final reports in a timely and professional manner
• Continuously upgrade technical skills to support evolving project and business needs

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum:
  • 5 years’ experience (Diploma holder), or
  • 10 years’ experience (Certificate holder)
• Strong hands‑on experience in plant equipment maintenance, inspection, and servicing
• Experience in power plant or oil & gas industry is highly preferred
