Job summary

Legrand Group Brands (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on Electrical Field Service Engineer to install, test, and commission UPS systems, PDUs, and related electrical infra at customer sites in Selangor. The role covers preventive maintenance, fault troubleshooting, and on-site service interventions to ensure uptime and performance.

You will support project implementations, read electrical drawings, and coordinate with vendors for parts and technical support.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in installation and maintenance of UPS systems, PDUs, or electrical distribution systems.
• Familiarity with major UPS brands is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong understanding of safety and compliance standards (IEC, local electrical codes).
• Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork at customer locations.
• Good problem-solving skills and a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission UPS systems, PDUs, Busway, and associated electrical systems at customer sites.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot system faults to ensure uptime and performance.
• Support service calls and emergency interventions for power system failures or alarms.
• Assist project teams during implementation, ensuring all electrical work aligns with design and compliance standards.
• Maintain detailed service records, reports, and customer feedback.
• Provide training and handover support to customers post-installation.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for spare parts, upgrades, and technical support.
• Good problem-solving skills and a customer-service mindset.
