Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, relocate and service Lam equipment at customer sites, with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction. You will perform startup, preventive maintenance, diagnostics and on-site support, coordinating with customers to minimize downtime.

This entry-level role offers global travel (up to 90%), cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to grow within Lam’s Customer Support group.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Graduate eligible; no prior professional experience required.
Self-starter who can work independently and learn quickly.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Willing to travel up to 90% internationally, including Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the US.

Responsibilities

Install and relocate equipment at customer sites and perform startup activities.
Provide on-site preventive maintenance and warranty/paid service support.
Coordinate service actions with customers to minimize downtime.
Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to isolate and resolve equipment issues.
Maintain logs, service records, and reports; prepare diagnostics updates.
Represent Lam professionally to customers and build relationships.
