Job summary

Tenpower Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks an engineering professional to oversee maintenance and equipment performance in a production environment. You will perform inspections, troubleshoot faults, and support installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of equipment.

The role requires a solid engineering foundation, the ability to work with production, maintenance and engineering teams, and a proactive approach to problem solving and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Strong technical knowledge and engineering fundamentals.
• Good project management and technical leadership skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Responsible, proactive and able to work under pressure.
• Ownership mindset and commitment to completing tasks.
• Able to work closely with production, maintenance and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production equipment operates smoothly to support daily production activities.
• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, tightening, and replacement of worn parts.
• Identify equipment faults, report issues promptly, and carry out preliminary troubleshooting and repairs.
• Participate in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure new equipment meets production and operational requirements.
• Manage maintenance spare parts and tools to ensure sufficient availability and proper condition.
• Record equipment operating data, maintenance activities, and repair history accurately.
• Prepare maintenance and equipment performance reports.
• Comply with safety procedures and company regulations to ensure safe equipment operation.
• Support equipment improvement and optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce breakdowns.
• Assist in training production operators on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance.
