Job summary

Anton Paar Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Anton Paar GmbH, is strengthening its service team and seeking a highly-motivated Field Service Engineer. You will provide on-site service including preventive maintenance, calibration, installation and customer training across our Characterization product lines.

Responsibilities include on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and logging service tickets in CRM.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical & Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to read electronic schematics and use test equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%.
• 2–3 years' experience in troubleshooting analytical instruments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site service including preventive maintenance, calibration, installation and customer training.
• On-site troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs of instruments.
• Evaluate malfunctioning instruments and prepare repair cost estimates.
• Perform factory calibrations (ISO 17025, if required).
• Provide on-site training to customers.
• Log service tickets and orders in CRM Service.
• Forward sales opportunities to Sales when replacements are needed.
• Attend relevant Anton Paar service trainings for product lines.
• Travel up to 70% of the time.

Responsibility

Anton Paar Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a whole owned subsidiary of the Austrian company Anton Paar GmbH.

We are currently strengthening our service-team and looking for a highly-motivated customer-oriented person, with excellent problem-solving skills.

As Field Service Engineer, you will responsible to provide on-site service including preventative maintenance, calibration, installation and customer training across all our Characterization product lines.

Responsibilities:

• Providing technical support to customers via on-site, telephone and email.
• Performing on-site troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Evaluating malfunctioning instruments and preparing estimates for the cost of repair.
• Performing factory calibrations (ISO 17025, if required).
• Provide on-site training to the customers
• Completing administrative tasks associated with the CRM Service module as to log all Support Ticket and Service Orders in the CRM Service.
• Forwarding sales opportunities to Sales Representatives when instruments need to be replaced.
• Attending all necessary Anton Paar service trainings for the relevant product lines.
• This position requires up to 70% travelling time.

Your profile:

• Good communication skills and strong customer service skills are a must for this position.
• Direct experience in the analytical instruments field is a plus.
• This position requires a highly motivated individual that is capable of completing assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
• This position requires minimum Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or another technical discipline.
• The ability to work with electronic schematics, test equipment’s, and tools for repairs is required.
• Preferred candidates will have at least two to three years’ experience in troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining analytical instruments.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and passport.
