Qualifications

• Creative, proactive, detail-oriented with leadership and commercial acumen in FMCG.

• Build strong retail relationships to strengthen brand presence, increase advocacy, and improve merchandising compliance.

British American Tobacco has an exciting opportunity for a Field Marketing Executive in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Field Marketing Executive is responsible for executing distributor management and trade marketing activities within the assigned territory.

The role drives volume delivery, enhances retail advocacy, ensures compliance with trade standards, and supports patch development and market insight generation. It also plays a key role in managing B2B platform operations to support efficient trade transactions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Deliver volume targets for the assigned territory across all channels, ensuring sustained growth performance.


• Maintain Execution Excellence standards and drive strong retail advocacy.


• Conduct trade audits, Sales & Distribution service checks, and monitor distributor ground team activities to ensure effective field execution.


• Manage the development and performance of the distributor ground team, supporting capability and operational improvement. Generate market insights and provide input for patch development planning to improve coverage and distribution quality.


• Build strong retail relationships to strengthen brand presence, increase advocacy, and improve merchandising compliance.

What are we looking for?

• Possess at least a Diploma or equivalent in any discipline.


• Minimum of 4-5 years in Sales and Distribution experience. Preferable FMCG Industry.


• Competent user of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Exceptional communication skills, including presenting and training abilities.


• In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry and trade (desirable).


• Creative mind, proactive, strong attention to detail and flexibility. Strong leadership and commercial acumen with experience in FMCG industry
