Job summary

EMS PROGRESS SDN. BHD. is seeking a Technical Assistant to conduct field sampling and environmental monitoring across client sites in Kuching, Sarawak. The role requires hands-on fieldwork, vehicle and equipment handling, and timely reporting.

Candidates should have minimum SPM, a valid driving licence, be able to travel, and preferably hold a Diploma or technical certification. Additional oil & gas safety training and CIDB/OGSP certification are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driving licence and be willing to travel for fieldwork assignments.
• Responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Diploma or relevant technical certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in field sampling, environmental monitoring or site-related activities is an advantage.
• Relevant Oil & Gas safety training and Permit to Work (PTW) certification is an advantage.
• Prior experience at oil & gas plants or offshore sites, as well as holding a valid CIDB/OGSP certification, is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field sampling and monitoring activities, including the collection of environmental samples and field data for reporting purposes
• Ensure proper handling, maintenance and safekeeping of company vehicles, monitoring equipment, machinery and tools
• Provide regular updates on fieldwork progress, monitoring activities and any site related issues to the immediate superior
• Assist in preparing, checking and maintaining field monitoring equipment before and after site activities
• Comply with applicable health, safety and environmental requirements during fieldwork and site activities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the company, when required
