ERM is seeking a motivated EHS Consultant in Malaysia to participate in a variety of projects across ERM’s services. You will act as the site EHS focal point, coordinating daily with clients, EPCC contractors, sub-contractors and site teams, and monitor compliance with Malaysian EHS legislation and project permits.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections and audits, reviewing safety documentation, supporting incident investigations and producing regular compliance reports.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in environmental science, engineering, occupational safety and health, construction management or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of site-based EHS experience on construction, infrastructure, industrial or energy projects.
• Proven experience in site inspections, compliance audits, and incident investigations.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian environmental and occupational safety and health legislation.
• Valid Malaysian competency certification or registration relevant to the project scope.
• Willing and physically able to work predominantly at site and travel to project locations.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the site EHS focal point, coordinating daily with the client, EPCC contractor, subcontractors and site teams.
• Monitor compliance with applicable Malaysian EHS legislation, project approvals, permit conditions and EHS plans.
• Conduct routine inspections, joint walkthroughs and scheduled audits across construction areas and facilities.
• Verify implementation of permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, job safety analyses and toolbox talks.
• Review contractor submissions and records, including method statements and training records.
• Monitor high-risk activities (work at height, lifting, excavation, confined-space entry, electrical work).
• Record observations and non-conformances; agree corrective actions and verify close-out.
• Prepare clear daily, weekly and monthly EHS reports; escalate issues to site management as needed.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities when required and support inspections and follow-up actions.
• Maintain complete, auditable site EHS records and support incident investigations.
