Job summary

EMS PROGRESS SDN. BHD. is seeking an Environment Executive in Kuching, Sarawak to support feasibility studies, EIAs, EMPs and monitoring reports, and to assist with project planning and client communications.

The role involves site assessments, reporting, coordinating with stakeholders, and delivering presentations; travel to project sites as required. Fresh graduates welcome; degree in Environmental Science or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, relevant consultancy experience a plus.
• Strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken.
• Team player, proactive, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Have own vehicle and valid driving license.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 (EMS) and environmental regulations is advantageous.
• Good research, analytical, and technical report writing skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist feasibility studies, pilot studies, and project planning.
• Prepare EIA, EMP, EMR and related environmental reports.
• Conduct site assessments and evaluate environmental impacts.
• Recommend best practices and mitigation measures.
• Assess compliance with environmental regulations using appropriate methods.
• Conduct research and compile reports.
• Deliver client presentations and liaise with stakeholders.
• Ensure timely project updates and progress reports.
• Travel to project sites for monitoring and inspections as required.

Job description

The Environment Executive will assist the Superior and be fully involved in environmental consulting activities including feasibility studies, pilot studies, project planning, Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Management Plans, and Environmental Monitoring Reports.

Key responsibilities

Conduct feasibility study, pilot study, and project planning activities

Prepare Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Management Plan (EMP), Environmental Monitoring Report (EMR) and other related environmental reports

Conduct site assessments and evaluate potential environmental impacts arising from project activities

Make recommendations on best management practices, essential activities, and measures following the assessment process

Assess how a site complies with environmental regulations and use relevant techniques to assess or forecast ecological problems

Carry out research, writing and compiling reports

Deliver presentations to clients and relevant authorities

Liaise with clients and relevant stakeholders on project updates, reports, progress, visits, and related issues

Ensure timely completion of all allocated projects and comply with project status updates

Travel to project sites for environmental monitoring, site inspections and other project related activities as required

About you

Possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or equivalent

Relevant working experience in environmental consultancy would be an advantage. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing in Bahasa Malaysia and English

A team player with strong initiative and able to work under pressure and minimal supervision

Positive attitude and self-motivated

Have own vehicle and valid driving license

Relevant professional registration or qualification recognised by NREB, EPD, or DOE would be an advantage

Knowledge of Quality standards ISO 14001 (EMS) will be an advantage

Good research, analytical and technical report writing skills

Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
