Zusammenfassung

OCK Group in Malaysia is seeking an experienced OSP/Fiber Engineer to design and cost Outside Plant solutions for Fixed Network projects across Corporate, Wholesale and Special Projects. You will develop detailed fiber routing, civil works plans and BOQs, while evaluating feasibility and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires hands-on FTTH/FTTx experience, strong AutoCAD/GIS skills and CAPEX planning capability, with travel for site surveys as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline; 3–5 years OSP/Fiber experience.
• Experience with telecom operators, network infrastructure providers, OSP contractors or system integrators.
• Hands-on experience in FTTH/FTTx, Metro Ethernet, backbone, access, corporate connectivity and wholesale network projects.
• Strong capability in OSP design, BOQ preparation, engineering costing, CAPEX planning and cost optimisation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, GIS, fiber network management/inventory systems and/or OSP planning software; knowledge of Malaysian telecom infrastructure requirements is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Recommend and develop Outside Plant (OSP) solutions for Fixed Network projects including Corporate, Wholesale, Special Projects, Network Coverage, Upgrading and Relocation projects.
• Provide technical solutions, feasibility assessments and engineering cost comparisons for RFI, RFT, RFP and other deployment requirements.
• Prepare detailed fiber and OSP engineering designs including cable routing, civil infra, duct systems, port assignments and cross-connect arrangements.
• Prepare BOQs, material requirements, engineering cost estimates and project schedules for Trunk and Spur routes.
• Prepare and maintain project and engineering documentation including cost approvals, PR/Work Orders, implementation documents and project handover records.
• Conduct site surveys, route planning and technical evaluations to ensure practical, cost-effective OSP solutions.
• Monitor project implementation, expenditure and cost variations to ensure compliance with budgets and designs.
• Perform fiber, duct and OSP capacity planning and propose network expansion or upgrading solutions.
• Provide technical support during project implementation and liaise with internal teams, contractors, vendors and stakeholders to resolve engineering issues.
• Ensure all designs comply with company standards, technical specifications, safety and Malaysian regulatory requirements; maintain accurate as-built records in GIS, network inventory or asset management systems.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Network Engineering or a related discipline, with 3–5 years of relevant OSP/Fiber experience.
