Job summary

Global Brands Manufacture Ltd. (GBM) is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer in Malaysia to diagnose and repair PCB assemblies at the component level.

You will perform soldering, desoldering, and component replacement (SMD, BGA, through-hole) and use test equipment to analyze faults. The role requires a degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering and at least one year of PCB repair experience, with IPC-A-610 knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least 1 year of circuit board repair experience.
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and component datasheets.
• Familiarity with PCB structure and electronic components.
• IPC-A-610 knowledge is advantageous.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Multilingual communication (Malay, English, Mandarin).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair PCB at component level.
• Perform soldering, desoldering, and component replacement (SMD, BGA, through-hole).
• Carry out BGA rework and reballing when required.
• Use multimeter and oscilloscope for testing and fault analysis.
• Ensure repair work meets IPC-A-610 quality standards.
• Record and maintain accurate repair and test data.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams.
• PCB soldering and rework (SMD, BGA, through-hole).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience handling BGA components.
