Job summary

Wiwynn Technology Service Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to identify failed elements through hands-on analysis, analyze failure reports, and determine root causes.

You will work with engineering, QA and production to resolve issues and manage data related to failure incidents. A bachelor’s in Computer/Electrical/Electronic engineering and 2+ years EMS PCB experience are required, with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for electronic PCBA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Computer/Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• 2+ years of EMS PCB industry experience or equivalent.
• Experience supporting through diagnostic, debugging and troubleshooting on electronic PCBA.
• Familiar with IPC 7711/7721 standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify failed elements through hands-on analysis.
• Analyze failure reports to determine root causes.
• Provide corrective-action recommendations with sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA and production to resolve issues.
• Manage and report data related to failure incidents and track trends.
• Follow assembly prints and written/verbal instructions.
• Apply strong technical analysis to troubleshoot PCBA.
• Assess failure rates to predict potential future failures.
• Work under pressure to resolve issues quickly to avoid production delays.
• Familiar with IPC 7711/7721 for electronics rework and repair.
