Job summary

Linkwing is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Kulai, Malaysia to maintain and troubleshoot factory automation equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, monitor performance and respond to breakdowns to keep production running smoothly.

You will work with Production, Engineering and Quality teams, support installation and commissioning, and contribute to machine improvements and automation projects. Strong teamwork, problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong troubleshooting skills and be able to read basic electrical diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Experience with factory automation, electronics, PF/SMT environments is advantageous.
• Willing to work shifts and respond to machine breakdowns as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance to ensure machines operate smoothly
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and automation-related problems
• Monitor machine performance and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns
• Identify the root cause of machine failures and implement effective corrective actions
• Maintain and update equipment maintenance records, reports and checklists
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and other departments to resolve machine-related issues
• Support machine installation, setup, testing and commissioning
• Assist with machine improvement, modification and automation projects
• Manage spare parts and ensure critical maintenance parts are available
• Follow company SOP, safety requirements and 5S standards

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or related fields
• Experience in maintenance engineering, equipment engineering, FAE or factory automation is preferred
• Experience in electronics, PCBA, SMT or manufacturing environments is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, sensors, motors, PLC or automation equipment
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Able to read basic electrical diagrams and equipment manuals
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to work shifts, overtime or respond to machine breakdowns when required
• Good communication skills in English and/or Mandarin. Basic Malay is an advantage
