Job summary

PMW INTERNATIONAL BERHAD is seeking a proactive Production Coordinator to oversee daily manufacturing operations on the Ipoh site. You will coordinate production and store activities, monitor line readiness, and collaborate with QA/QC, Warehouse and Engineering to meet production plans.

You will manage material receiving, inventory accuracy, floor checks, and maintaining accurate records, while supporting SOP improvements and ensuring timely release of materials and finished goods for movement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Logistics or related fields.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills are required.
• Hands-on on the factory floor and familiarity with production flow and inventory control.
• Able to read and converse in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production and store activities to ensure smooth operations and achieve production plans.
• Monitor manpower, material, equipment and line readiness before production starts.
• Oversee material receiving, storage, issuing and inventory accuracy.
• Monitor production output, quality, stock availability and operational issues, and follow through on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Warehouse and Engineering for material and finished goods control and prototypes/new builds.
• Carry out floor checks, address abnormalities, and maintain accurate production and stock records.
• Support SOP/Work Instruction improvements and inventory control initiatives.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily production and store activities to ensure smooth operations and achievement of production plans.

Monitor manpower, material, equipment and line readiness before production starts.

Oversee material receiving, identification, storage, issuing and inventory accuracy.

Monitor production output, quality, stock availability and operational issues, and follow through on corrective actions.

Coordinate closely with QA/QC, Warehouse and other departments to ensure proper material and finished goods control.

Work closely with Engineering to prepare prototypes, samples, new product builds and production line setup for audits or special requirements.

Ensure materials and finished goods are properly verified and released before movement or handover.

Conduct regular floor checks and ensure abnormalities, housekeeping and operational issues are followed through to closure.

Maintain accurate production, stock and operational records, including stock take activities.

Support improvements to SOPs, work instructions, process flow, productivity and inventory control.

Carry out any other duties assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Logistics or related fields.

Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.

Good understanding of production flow and inventory control.

Strong coordination, problem-solving and follow-up skills.

Hands-on and comfortable working on the factory floor.

Able to converse and read in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
