Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a senior manufacturing leader to head a greenfield plant setup in Johor, overseeing construction, equipment installation, commissioning and operational readiness. Lead greenfield plant setup activities including construction, equipment installation, commissioning, and operational readiness.

Establish production systems, SOPs, KPIs, and manufacturing processes to support business growth.

Manage chemical manufacturing operations including solvent distillation, purification, and blending processes.

Develop and implement EHS programs, Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZOP studies, and risk assessments.

Build quality management systems and support customer audits and compliance requirements.

Manage plant budget, manufacturing costs, capital investments, and operational improvements.

Recruit, develop, and lead plant teams while managing relationships with authorities, customers, and suppliers.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s Degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related disciplines.

Minimum 10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, with at least 5 years in plant leadership or management roles.

Proven experience in plant construction, commissioning, expansion projects, or new facility setup.

Strong knowledge of distillation, purification processes, chemical manufacturing, and process safety management.

Experience with HAZOP, risk assessment, ISO 9001/14001/45001 implementation, and chemical industry compliance requirements.
