Job summary

Sky-Tag Robotics Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on technician to support facility maintenance and tooling activities at our Batu Kawan, Penang site. The role involves basic machining, tooling modification, and handling of tools, jigs and fixtures to meet production needs.

• Experience in facility maintenance or tooling, machining or related technical field is an advantage.
• Basic reading of technical drawings is advantageous.
• GDL (Goods Driving Licence) is an added advantage; willingness to obtain is encouraged.
• Able to work independently and perform hands-on technical work.

Responsibilities

• Support facility equipment maintenance to meet performance standards.
• Manage 5S activities and facility-related records per ISO requirements.
• Perform basic machining and tooling modification (cutting, grinding, drilling, filing, profile modification).
• Prepare, modify and improve tooling, jigs and fixtures for production needs.
• Assist in loading/moving company equipment and deliver items to designated locations.
• Deliver and collect items as assigned, ensuring safe handling.

Job description

To ensure all facility equipment meets the performance standards required for manufacturing and assembly processes.

To ensure all operational processes and practices run smoothly with optimum facility equipment performance.

To manage and supervise all company 5S activities.

To manage all facility-related records in line with ISO standards and requirements.

To perform basic machining and tooling modification activities, including cutting, grinding, drilling, filing and modifying profiles of tools, jigs, fixtures and other production-related components according to the required specifications.

To assist in the preparation, modification and improvement of tooling, jigs and fixtures based on production requirements.

To support the movement, loading and delivery of company equipment, materials, tools and other items to designated locations when required.

To carry out delivery and collection activities as assigned by the company, ensuring all items are handled and transported safely and properly.

Requirements:

Previous experience in facility maintenance, tooling, machining or a related technical field is an advantage.

Basic hands-on knowledge of tooling fabrication and modification, including cutting, grinding, drilling and profile modification.

Able to read and understand basic technical drawings is an advantage.

Possess a valid GDL (Goods Driving Licence) is an added advantage.

Candidates without a GDL licence but willing to obtain a GDL licence are encouraged to apply.

Willing to perform delivery and transportation duties when required.

Able to work independently and perform hands-on technical work.
