Job summary

Farben Information Technology is seeking a Facility Management Engineer to cover 7x24 shift in Johor Bahru. The role focuses on maintaining critical data center facilities and coordinating preventive maintenance onsite. You will work with BMS and a team to ensure uptime and safety.

Candidates should have an engineering degree and at least 2 years of hands-on facility experience, with willingness to work rotating shifts. Malaysian work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering.
• At least 2 years of hands-on facility maintenance experience.
• Willing to work 24/7 rotating shift onsite in Johor Bahru.
• Legally authorized to work in Malaysia.
• Open to renewable contract engagement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor critical data center facility systems such as UPS, PDU, cooling and ventilation equipment, and standby power systems.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for facility infrastructure.
• Support Building Management System (BMS) operations.
• Respond to facility incidents to ensure uptime and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and incident documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment servicing.

About the Client

Our client is a technology and operations solutions company supporting large-scale infrastructure and data center operations in Johor Bahru.

Location: Johor Bahru only, fully onsite. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not provided.

Contract: Renewable contract.

Overtime is paid in accordance with Malaysian law.

Must-Haves

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field

At least 2 years Hands-on experience in facility maintenance, building systems, or critical infrastructure operations. Server rooms in offices, BPO sites, factories, or telecom tower sites do not count.

Willing to work a 24/7 rotating shift schedule onsite in Johor Bahru

Legally authorized to work in Malaysia

Open to a renewable contract-based engagement

Nice-to-Haves

Prior data center or critical facility operations experience

Mandarin proficiency, spoken and written

Familiarity with UPS, PDU, HVAC, or BMS systems
