PTT Synergy Group Berhad is seeking a Facility & Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) to maintain automated systems and building facilities at our Penang site. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ASRS components, HVAC, pumps, and fire protection equipment, aiming to minimize downtime and ensure SLA compliance.
The role requires hands-on mechanical troubleshooting, rotation shifts including nights and weekends, and readiness to provide after-hours support as needed.
Work towards achieving zero breakdowns of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) by effectively carrying out Preventive Maintenance (TPM) and Corrective Maintenance activities in collaboration with the customer's Production Department. Ensure all production equipment remains in good operating condition. The ASRS consists of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), stacker cranes, robotic arms, Forklift Mobile Robots (FMRs), Sky Transfer Units (STUs), and other automated systems.
Lead assigned maintenance tasks and monitor the performance of maintenance activities. Perform repairs and troubleshooting to ensure work carried out in critical environments is completed efficiently with minimal disruption to customer operations.
Responsible for the daily maintenance and inspection of assigned critical facility systems, including mechanical systems such as HVAC systems, computer room air conditioners, plumbing systems, cooling towers, pump rooms, fire protection systems, and fire alarm systems.
Work closely with maintenance team, production personnel, and external service contractors to ensure service quality and operational standards are consistently maintained.
Assist the Maintenance and Facilities Manager in delivering all maintenance activities in accordance with the customer's Service Level Agreement (SLA). Ensure full compliance with SLA requirements, including timely incident escalation, reporting to the monitoring centre within the stipulated timeframe, and submission of written incident reports within 24 hours.
Candidate must possess at least a Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized vocational or technical institution.
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in building facility inspection and maintenance.
Hands-on experience in ASRS equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues.
Knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related components is an added advantage.
Must be willing to provide after-hours technical support and participate in 24/7 site operational support when required, including on-site incident response.
Candidates must be willing to work on a rotating shift schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by operational needs.
Training will be provided.
