Job summary

LC X JE is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in Kulai to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, facilities, and production systems. You will help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation while minimizing downtime.

The role requires a diploma or certificate in a related field, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings. You may handle installation, commissioning, and record-keeping tasks with a focus on safety

Qualifications

• Qualification: Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience as Maintenance Technician preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
• Attend to machine breakdowns and respond promptly to requests.
• Identify potential failures and safety issues through regular checks.
• Carry out servicing, adjustment, replacement, and repair of components.
• Maintain and repair motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, and production machines.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repair where applicable.
• Assist with installation, modification, relocation, and commissioning.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and parts usage.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete tasks on time.
• Maintain a stocked workshop with tools and consumables.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to minimize downtime.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workplace.
• Assist contractors and external service providers as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects for reliability and cost reduction.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, facilities, and production systems. The successful candidate will ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently while minimizing breakdowns and production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other equipment-related problems.
• Attend to machine breakdowns and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Conduct regular checks to identify potential equipment failures and safety issues.
• Carry out servicing, adjustment, replacement, and repair of machine components.
• Maintain and repair motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, production machines, and other equipment as required.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repair where applicable.
• Assist with machine installation, modification, relocation, and commissioning.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, repairs, and spare-parts usage.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and ensure all assigned tasks are completed on time.
• Maintain sufficient stock of maintenance tools, spare parts, and consumables.

• Follow all company safety procedures and ensure maintenance work is carried out safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance workshop and work area.
• Assist contractors and external service providers during repair and maintenance activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve machine reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar technical role is preferred.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is an advantage.
• Able to read basic electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Able to use basic maintenance tools and measuring instruments.
• Responsible, disciplined, and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
• Good safety awareness and adherence to workplace safety procedures.
• Salary will be based on qualifications, relevant experience, and suitability for the position.
