The role emphasizes developing schedules, managing DSTPDCA, improving processes, and advancing digitalization to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial).
• 6–10 years of experience with a Diploma 10–14 years preferred.
• Experience with automotive manufacturing equipment is advantageous.
• PLC/SCADA knowledge or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Develop schedules, plans and targets; own DSTPDCA by identifying issues and corrective actions.
• Identify and implement process improvements and innovative engineering solutions with stakeholders.
• Oversee spare part inventory, forecasting, planning, and documentation.
• Assist maintenance in breakdown responses, failure investigations and issue diagnosis.
• Monitor KPIs: MTBF, MTTR, downtime, maintenance cost and equipment efficiency.
• Manage preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure Safety, 5S and housekeeping in the engineering area.
• Drive digitalization and automation initiatives to improve maintenance efficiency.
• Undertake other projects and duties as assigned.

Job description

Align with organization's goals and objectives, developing plans, execution and delivery of engineering project by liaison with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and present engineering solutions even new engineering initiatives. Stay updated on new technologies, continuously evaluate and propose improvement idea of engineering processes and tools.

Key responsibilities

In line with department policy, lead engineering teams to successful accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Develop schedule, plans and targets for lower-level policy, owning the DSTPDCA process by identifying issues and assessing performance against standards, implementing correction and kind of actions required, and proposing initiative while considering feasibility, cost, and other impacts.

Identify and implement process improvements and innovative engineering solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and effectively communicating their value.

Oversee spare part inventory, including forecasting, planning, housekeeping, and documentation to ensure adequate stock levels.

Assist maintenance section in responding to breakdowns, investigating failures, diagnosis issues, and proposing improvement to extend machine life span.

Monitor and analyze maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, downtime, maintenance cost, and equipment efficiency, driving continuous improvement actions.

Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.

Ensure Safety, 5S, and housekeeping of engineering department work area and plan for improvements.

Drive digitalization and automation initiatives to improve maintenance efficiency, asset management, and data accuracy.

Undertake other projects, tasks and duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering field of studies (i.e. Mechanical, Automotive, Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial Engineering)

Bachelor's Degree with 6-10 years of related working experiences or Diploma with 10-14 years of related working experiences

Experience in equipment related to automotive manufacturing equipment would be an added advantage

PLC / SCADA system know-how or Competency certificate holder will be an advantage
